A Tough Neighborhood

Protect your family from nature’s threats

Concrete homes fit in with their surroundings while their benefits stand out
While concrete once made limited appearances at residential construction sites in the form of foundations and driveways, it’s now playing a leading role in new home construction. A home built with concrete is strong, energy efficient, and resists fire, mold, wind, and noise better than wood frame homes. And concrete homes no longer look like bomb shelters – they can be built to look like any other home.

Insulating Concrete Forms
Removable forms, concrete blocks, and Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs) have been used to construct homes, but ICFs are becoming increasingly popular due to the flexibility and insulation they allow. Made of interlocking polystyrene panels connected by steel rods, ICFs are stacked like blocks to create walls and concrete is poured between the forms, which are left in place to create a superinsulated wall inside and out.

Concrete homes have a wide range of benefits. Read more about them by clicking on the links below.
